There are apparently endless numbers of songs for this time of the year: They all try to invoke that special feeling we are aiming at creating, if we still like it:

Coziness, warmth and closeness to your near and dear.

The stories about the failure to be close in families, fighting instead, trying hard to make these days special, also are legion…

There are people who doubt it; who think it is too narrowly limited to certain bodies of religion.
Who believe that the original idea is drowned in shop-playlists of supermarkets, toy stores, or department stores, alike.

Christmas as an originally festive season is meant to remind us of the birth of a child later to be one of the great prophets in the history of mankind:
Jesus Christ.

The Original Christmas Spirit:

Whichever way you tend to yourself in your private and personal beliefs, the Christmas spirit is taken from the original message,

the ‘joyful tidings’ about loving thy neighbour — as you do yourself. And the idea of redemption as well as a deep sense of community that is the knowledge of interdependence.

  • Nobody is perfect, so we need forgiveness. And we need to grant forgiveness as human beings.
  • People are not meant to be alone, originally: We need warmth, love and trusting closeness in order to survive.
  • In order to create more peace and understanding in the world, the ‘neighbourly-love-concept’ is crucial:
You cannot love others if you do not like yourself!

Using a track for the video above I found online for free I am wishing you a very merry Christmas, ‘good fights’ to resolve, too — and a wonderful time of the year!
